I paint on a plastic drop cloth so that the paint sits on it and is absorbed into the burlap and not the canvas drop cloth underneath. I use good quality paint as well - that always helps no matter what you are doing :) Darker, brighter colors usually do fine this way but white usually needs a second coat or at least touch-up. Good luck!!mollie's momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08373936679825632653noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810094124713429236.post-91355808057886582102013-12-10T16:14:44.055-05:002013-12-10T16:14:44.055-05:00I was wondering if you could tell me how you paint...I was wondering if you could tell me how you paint on the burlap without having to do multiple coats? When I've done it before it took me so many coats for it to even show up because it just went through the holes and onto the paper behind it.drumwifejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13998404361663154812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810094124713429236.post-61357106880510408102013-12-10T15:31:52.153-05:002013-12-10T15:31:52.153-05:00I haven't painted on burlap in a while and whe...I haven't painted on burlap in a while and when I did it took several coats for it to show up....any suggestions to help me out?drumwifejhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13998404361663154812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2810094124713429236.post-77124934132144837722012-04-28T15:52:58.791-04:002012-04-28T15:52:58.791-04:00Saw this from Tatertots & Jello link party :) ...Saw this from Tatertots & Jello link party :) LOVE this - so stinking cute.
